About This Tour
VEDITALIA runs this full-day coach tour from Venice and Mestre into the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2009. Lunch is not included, so you buy food on your own in Cortina or at Lake Misurina. The listing is new and has no reviews yet. Free cancellation applies up to 24 hours before departure, and you can reserve now and pay later.

What the Price Covers
The $121 covers transport and guiding only. Food, drinks and personal costs are on you, and lunch in Cortina is at your own expense. No chairlift, boat, toll or tasting is mentioned in the price. One contradiction sits in the listing itself: the includes list mentions hiking to the Three Peaks of Lavaredo, while the itinerary and the know-before-you-go text both state the day does not include a hike to the peaks. The safe reading is that you view the peaks from the Lake Landro viewpoint, and you should confirm on the booking page before paying.

Book It If, Skip It If
Book it if
- you want a coach day from $121 with two meeting point options in Venice and Mestre
- you want 1.5 hours each at Lake Misurina and Cortina plus a Lake Landro Three Peaks viewpoint stop
- you want a bilingual English and Spanish tour leader with earphones and headsets
Skip it if
- you want the Three Peaks up close or Lake Braies, book the Lake Braies and Tre Cime Minivan Trip instead
- you use a wheelchair or travel with a pet, since neither is allowed on this coach
- you need a proven track record, as this listing has no reviews yet and late arrivals get no refund
Pros and Cons
What this tour does and what it does not do.
What we genuinely like
- $121 per person with two meeting points in Venice and Mestre.
- Two long stops of 1.5 hours each at Lake Misurina and Cortina, plus a Three Peaks viewpoint at Lake Landro.
- Bilingual English and Spanish tour leader with earphones and headsets for all participants.
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure and reserve now and pay later.
The honest downsides
- Up to 50 people on one coach, so free time and viewpoints are shared with a big group.
- The listing contradicts itself on the Three Peaks hike, and the itinerary says no hike happens.
- No reviews yet, so the operator's track record on this product is unproven.
- Only 30 minutes at Auronzo and at Lake Landro, and lunch is not included.
- Late arrivals and missed departures get no refund, and the return time is only indicative.
Who it's NOT for: Travellers who want the Three Peaks up close or Lake Braies should book the Lake Braies and Tre Cime Minivan Trip instead.
Before You Go
A short checklist for the day, drawn from the listing and official sources.
Season, Weather and Winter
The listing states no season and no winter schedule for this tour, so starting times for your date come from the booking page. Mountain weather changes the day: views of the Three Peaks depend on visibility. Bring a warm layer even in summer, since the day runs outdoors in the mountains.
For timing around lifts and snow, the Col de Varda chairlift runs 18 June to 20 September, and Cortina Express buses run daily between Venice and Cortina on the current timetable.
Money, Lunch and Cash
The tour price of $121 covers transport and the tour leader only. Lunch and drinks are yours to buy in Cortina or at Lake Misurina. Italy uses the euro, and euro prices on this page convert at the European Central Bank rate of 1 EUR = 1.1130 USD.
Meeting Point, Bags and Who Can Join
Two meeting point options exist in Venice and Mestre, set by the option you select. Arrive 15 minutes before departure, because late arrivals and missed departures are not refunded. Bring comfortable shoes, a camera and comfortable clothes.
Pets are not allowed, and the tour is not suitable for wheelchair users. No minimum age is stated. There is no hotel pickup.
Booking Terms
Free cancellation applies up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund, and reserve now and pay later is offered. The expected return time is indicative and traffic may affect it, so leave slack before any evening commitment in Venice.

How the Tour Runs
You meet at one of two options in Venice or Mestre, chosen when you book, and arrive 15 minutes before departure. Late arrivals and missed departures are not refunded. Only stop durations are published, not clock times. The expected return time is indicative and traffic may affect it.
The Day in Order
After boarding, the tour leader introduces the itinerary on the drive into the mountains. The first stop is a local cafe break with scenic views on the way, 30 minutes. Then comes Auronzo di Cadore for 30 minutes of break time, photos and shopping.
Lake Landro follows for a 30-minute photo stop, where weather and visibility permitting you get views of the Three Peaks of Lavaredo from the panoramic viewpoint. The listing is plain that this is a short sightseeing and photography stop and the itinerary does not include a hike to the peaks themselves. Lake Misurina gets 1.5 hours for the lakeshore, lunch at a cafe or restaurant and photos.
Cortina d'Ampezzo then gets 1.5 hours of free time to explore the town at your own pace. A final 30-minute cafe break with scenic views closes the day before the drive back. No specific end point beyond the return to Venice and Mestre is stated, and no arrival time is printed.
| Part of the tour | Time | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Meet in Venice or Mestre | Not stated | Arrive 15 minutes before departure |
| Cafe break en route | 30 minutes | Break time and scenic views on the way |
| Auronzo di Cadore | 30 minutes | Break, photos, free time, shopping |
| Lake Landro (Durrensee) | 30 minutes | Photo stop, views of the Three Peaks, weather permitting |
| Lake Misurina | 1.5 hours | Photos, free time, shopping, lakeside stroll |
| Cortina d'Ampezzo | 1.5 hours | Free time, shopping, walk, lunch at your own expense |

Tre Cime On A Day Trip: View Or Hike
On a one-day trip from Venice the Three Peaks are a viewpoint, not a walk. This tour watches them from near Lake Landro.
What This Tour Does
The coach stops for 30 minutes near Lake Landro, where weather and visibility permitting you get panoramic views of the Three Peaks of Lavaredo. The itinerary does not include a hike to the peaks themselves, and the listing asks you to note that low visibility can hide the views. If seeing the Three Peaks up close matters to you, the Lake Braies and Tre Cime Minivan Trip visits the Tre Cime di Lavaredo viewpoint, and the Dolomites and Cortina Small-Group Tour lists the Tre Cime di Lavaredo among its stops.
| Item | In the price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Hike to the Three Peaks | Contradictory in the listing | The includes list mentions it, the itinerary says the day does not include a hike. Confirm before booking |
Visiting The Three Peaks Independently
If you would rather reach the Tre Cime area on your own, official rules from the Comune di Auronzo and Dolomiti Bus apply.
Car Access, Toll and Reservation
Car access to Rifugio Auronzo is only with an online reservation tied to your number plate, added by 23:59 the day before. The road is normally driveable from about the end of May to the end of October, weather permitting, climbing about 6 km from Lago d'Antorno to Rifugio Auronzo at 2,333 m.
| Vehicle | Toll 2026 | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Car | $44.52 (€40) | Online reservation with plate required |
| Motorcycle | $28.94 (€26) | Same reservation rule |
| Caravan or motorhome | $66.78 (€60) | Larger vehicles pay more |

Shuttle from Misurina
The Dolomiti Bus Tre Cime shuttle runs daily from 30 May 2026 between Misurina Genzianella and Rifugio Auronzo via Lago Antorno. The day ticket costs $11.13 (€10) per person and cash is not accepted on board. Tickets sell through the Dolomitibus app and website, by contactless payment on board, at ticket offices and retailers, and at the automatic machine at Misurina.
Since this tour gives you 1.5 hours at Lake Misurina, fitting the shuttle up to Rifugio Auronzo and back inside that window is on you and is not part of the booking.

The Stops on This Day Trip
Four places fill the day, with about 4 h at the stops in total and two 30-minute cafe breaks around them. Here is what you do at each one.
Auronzo Di Cadore
A 30-minute break in a mountain town surrounded by peaks. You stretch your legs, take photographs and browse the shops. Nearby, the Col de Varda chairlift at Misurina runs 18 June to 20 September, with an adult return at $18.92 (€17), uphill only $14.47 (€13) and downhill only $8.90 (€8), children under 6 free.
That chairlift is not part of this tour and there is no time for it here.
Lake Landro (Durrensee)
A 30-minute photo stop at an alpine lake with turquoise-green water. This is where the Three Peaks appear, from the nearby panoramic viewpoint, weather and visibility permitting. It is the closest this day gets to the Tre Cime di Lavaredo.
Lake Misurina
The longest mountain stop, 1.5 hours. The listing invites a lakeside stroll, photographs and lunch at a local restaurant or cafe, all at your own cost. From Misurina Genzianella the Tre Cime shuttle leaves for Rifugio Auronzo daily from 30 May at $11.13 (€10) per person for a day ticket, but the return leg would need to fit inside your free time.
Cortina D'Ampezzo
1.5 hours in the town that hosted Winter Olympic events, with free time to walk the centre, photograph and eat. Cortina's bus terminal is at the Ice Stadium, and the nearest stations are Calalzo and Dobbiaco. If you want more time here plus Pieve di Cadore and two lakes, look at the Dolomites Day Trip with Cortina and 2 Lakes, a small-group day with 1,182 reviews.

Getting To Cortina Without A Tour
Cortina is reachable from Venice by public bus without joining a tour, if you accept fixed timetables and no other stops.
Buses from Venice
On the current Cortina Express timetable, buses leave Mestre railway station at 11.00, 14.00 and 17.00 and Venice airport tour bus parking at 11.20, 14.20 and 17.20, arriving Cortina at 13.30, 16.30 and 19.30. That is 2 h 30 min from Mestre and 2 h 10 min from the airport. Dolomiti Bus runs from Venice Piazzale Roma at 6.20 and 18.20.
Tickets in either direction start from $13.91 (€12.50). Cortina's tourism page also names Flixbus and Atvo on this route. Marco Polo airport sits 162 km from Cortina.
| Departure point | Times | Arrival in Cortina |

Best Time To Go And Weather Risk
The lakes and mountain stops reward late June through September, and visibility decides whether the Three Peaks show at all.
Choosing Your Window
The Better Vacation puts late June through September as the best stretch for the lakes and any high walking. The Col de Varda chairlift runs 18 June to 20 September. The listing states no season, so check your date on the booking page.
Check the Forecast Twice
Mountain weather can change within hours, so check the forecast the night before and again on the morning of the tour. Low cloud can hide the peaks entirely, and this listing itself warns that weather and visibility may affect the views of the Three Peaks of Lavaredo. Since the tour is a 10-hour fixed coach day with no hike, a grey day costs you the panorama rather than the whole plan, but it is worth booking a date with a clean forecast if you can.
